Nantua Farm (pronounced nan-chew-uh) is a small private training, boarding and sales facility located in the rolling hills of Richmond, KY just outside of Lexington. While we specialize in retraining off-the-track thoroughbreds for new careers in dressage, eventing, foxhunting and polo, we also offer training board for starting, restarting and fixing "problem" horses.
Our resident trainer, Lindsey Hays, has a strong background in dressage, eventing and polo and loves training horses of any age, breed, training level or discipline. Please visit our Training page to learn more about how we can assist you and your horse with your individual goals. Contact us at (859) 779-0228 or lindsey@nantuafarm.com for more information.
Nantua Farm also produces fantastic sale horses that range from green to bombproof and usually have several off-the-track thoroughbreds in training. Please contact our trainer, Lindsey Hays, or owner, Laura Hays, for more information about our facility, prices and services.

Looking for Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds and Sport Ponies for Retraining/Sale Program:
We are always looking for more off-the-track thoroughbreds (OTTB's) to purchase for our retraining/sale program, so please get in touch with us if you have a sound thoroughbred you are looking to move. Depending on the horses you have to offer, we are willing to travel throughout the mid-west, south and mid-atlantic regions. However, we would prefer to take OTTB's from the local area (within 2-3 hour drive from Richmond, KY) that we are able to see in person, vet check and, if allowed, test ride. So please contact us, by phone (859) 779-0228 or email lindsey@nantuafarm.com, if you have a horse we may be interested in. We've also expanded our sale program to include sport pony training and sales (Sport Pony is defined as a pony that is 13.2 hh - 14.2 hh, has a refined head, neck and body, correct cadence with a large stride and significant impulsion from the hindquarters... the universal trait of a sport pony is that they look and move like a small horse rather than a traditional pony). So if you happen to have a sport pony that you need to sell or give away to the right home, we would be very interested in speaking with you.
We are conveniently located approximately 45 miles south of the Kentucky Horse Park and Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and 36 miles southeast of downtown Lexington. Please visit our contact page for more information. We look forward to hearing from you!
